Sharing the secrets of personal impact and persuasion

7 April 2008
John Timperley, Managing Director of The Results Consultancy, is to speak at the R3 conference in Leeds on Thursday 3 May.

Focusing on personal impact and persuasion skills for senior professionals, John will be taking delegates through a series of short exercises designed to give them an insight into how the come across to others and, in particular, how to flex their style to deal with different personalities and situations.

John commented, “One of the major factors determining the level of achievement of a professional is they credibility the project, the rapport they build with those they work with and the confidence others place in them. This session is designed to shed some light on the practical techniques used by those who make a strong positive personal impact and, just as importantly, have the ability to use persuasion and influencing techniques appropriate to the situation.”

Business Research capability launched through The Results Consultancy

5 March 2008
Oliver Webster has joined forces with The Result Consultancy and will work with the Results team as an Associate. Oliver, who was previously senior research manager at global business advisory firm Deloitte, will provide research services to the Results Consultancy’s clients as well as managing his existing portfolio.

In particular he specialised in the production of useable company and market information for key account management, targeting and ‘thought leadership’ programmes.

He has recently undertaken a survey of database and information source usage amongst professional services firms that has help to develop initiatives to improve the efficiency of gathering effective client and market information.

Pitching – how to gain an edge

John Timperley, Andrew Warren and Steven Pearce of The Results Consultancy will be presenting on the topic of winning high value pitches at the Professional Services Group annual conference on Monday 3 March.

The team will be facilitating two 90-minute slots during the event at the Queen Elisabeth Conference centre in London. More than 200 professional services marketing and business development professionals are expected to attend the event.
